Last night I watched a video clip of Seth Meyers and President Obama at the White House correspondents’ dinner a few weeks back. Seth Meyers did a joke about CSPAN being the best channel for wide shots of empty rooms. Also, how most people think Osama bin Laden is hiding in the Hindu Kush mountains but did you know he hosts an afternoon show on CSPAN? Especially funny now that we know the President had just given the order to storm bin Laden’s compound.
But the best line of the night was about Donald Trump. Seth Meyers said,
Donald Trump is rich, I’m sure. But he still sounds like a know-it-all down at the OTB.
It didn’t get a big laugh, but I thought the language was brilliant. It paints a picture of a sleazebag lecturing everyone else on his “system.”
